Our take on Comanche
The focus on helicopter combat and single-player missions gives the game a defined identity, but limits the experience for players seeking cooperative play, competitive modes, or a wider range of gameplay formats.
What is Comanche?
Comanche is a helicopter shooter set in an alternative future shaped by cyber warfare and the spread of advanced military technology.
Its single-player campaign follows the revival and later proliferation of the RAH-66 helicopter program, as different groups acquire and modify the aircraft. Players also have access to Conflicts, a single-player mission mode built around varied objectives and special tasks. Completing these tasks awards medals, with each medal presenting a separate challenge. The setting centers on the Tellus Task Force, part of the IJTF, and uses helicopters equipped to deploy short-range drones in high-risk environments.
How Comanche plays
- 01Evolving Campaign
- The story follows the consequences of a revived helicopter program after its blueprints become publicly available.
- 02Conflicts Missions
- This single-player mode assigns different objectives and includes medals tied to additional challenges.
- 03Drone Deployment
- The RAH-66 helicopter can operate short-range drones in hazardous areas.
Comanche compared to similar games
Zero Caliber VR offers a single-player and cooperative campaign for up to 4 players, along with cross-play PvP and mod support, while Comanche centers on solo helicopter missions. Comanche focuses on a futuristic helicopter program and medal-based objectives rather than Zero Caliber VR’s broader multiplayer and customization scope.
