The time mechanic makes movement part of survival: pausing to assess a situation carries a direct cost as time and enemy activity speed up. That trade-off favors constant adaptation over a slower, more deliberate approach to combat.
What is COLD VR?
Control time in a virtual reality shooter where moving slows it down, while stopping makes time and enemy activity accelerate.
The campaign contains over 40 levels, including optional Backrooms horror stages, environmental hazards such as lasers and moving platforms, and enemies with increasing power. Defeated foes can drop weapons that become usable by the player, including in challenges built around this mechanic. The game combines in-game action with live-action storytelling and presents choices tied to humanity’s fate. Updates add five levels, rebalance earlier areas, and revise enemy AI, interface, locomotion, menus, and overall balance. COLD VR also supports bHaptics full-body suit integration.
