ActionIs Cloudbuilt worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-platforming fans who want movement to depend on execution rather than gradual ability unlocks
- Players who enjoy finding alternate routes and difficult shortcuts through obstacle courses
- Creators and explorers who want downloadable and user-made levels alongside the main stages
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a gradual ability-progression system may bounce off the near-start access to the full movement set.
- Players who struggle with high-speed precision platforming may hit a wall at the lethal hazards, long jumps, and demanding shortcuts.
- Players wanting a small, fixed campaign may find the revised stages, original versions, DLC, and community content broader than expected.
Our take on Cloudbuilt
The bounce point arrives early: most movement abilities are available near the start, so progress depends on mastering speed, jumps, wall-running, and hazard avoidance rather than waiting for a growing skill set. Players who need gradual mechanical progression may hit that wall before the campaign settles in.
What is Cloudbuilt?
Cloudbuilt is a third-person action platformer set above the clouds, where Demi moves through hazardous environments in a rocket-powered suit.
Movement includes wall-running, rapid propulsion, long jumps, dodging, and attacks against hostile robots. More than 40 levels span different difficulties and visual themes, with revised versions of 34 core stages, original 2014 versions, and the Defiance DLC. Most movement abilities are available near the beginning, making player skill central to progression. Optional challenges unlock more than 45 costumes and skins. Competitive modes include rankings and global leaderboards. Steam Workshop support adds downloadable community stages and tools for creating and sharing levels.
