- Players who enjoy aerial movement and exploration across unusual settings
- Players who like experimenting with weapon and ammunition combinations
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a quiet exploration game may find the frequent robot fights and boss battles too combat-focused.
- Players who prefer conventional movement may dislike the emphasis on reshaping terrain and launching through the air.
- Players looking for a realistic setting may not suit the game’s mutant robots, floating jellyfish, and cloud-world environments.
Our take on Cloudbase Prime
Terrain manipulation gives movement and combat a shared control scheme, but it sacrifices the simplicity of straightforward shooting. Encounters depend on positioning, timing launches, and changing the battlefield, adding more environmental decision-making to each fight.
What is Cloudbase Prime?
Cloudbase Prime is an action-adventure game set in a damaged mining station inside a gas giant.
Reshape terrain to open paths, launch enemies, block homing missiles, and propel the robot suit through the air. Combat includes robot enemies, mech walkers, and giant bosses. Discovered weapons and ammunition can be customized at any point, including combinations such as charge shots with explosive ammunition or homing shots with freezing ammunition. A strategy HUD slows time while powers and weapons are selected. Exploration leads through robotic wilderness, cloud cities, giant trees, airships, and floating jellyfish. Animated and voiced story scenes explain why the robots are mutating and becoming hostile. The game also includes grappling-hook traversal, jet-dragon riding, and robot-suit upgrades.
