Our take on Deadburg
The focus on procedural survival and player-built environments trades a fixed, authored world for repeatable city generation. Its range of modes and systems also leaves less room for one tightly paced campaign structure.
What is Deadburg?
Deadburg is a cooperative zombie-survival game taking place in a randomly created urban environment containing thousands of structures.
Players can investigate, use, and demolish buildings piece by piece while collecting resources, discovering loot, making weapons, and gaining skills. It supports solo sessions and multiplayer with as many as three friends. Survival combines fighting zombies, scavenging, crafting, and constructing a base. Defense focuses on preparing for an incoming horde. In Last Life, a character's death ends the run. Creative mode permits editing a city before moving it into another mode. Several difficulty levels increase zombie danger, and character development provides new bonuses and abilities.
