Our take on Civatlas
Instead of the usual pressure from combat or survival systems, the game centers on tranquil city construction and mapmaking. Its atlas framing also shifts attention from conquest toward arranging plots, cultures, resources, and architectural development across a historical landscape.
What is Civatlas?
Civatlas is an Early Access historical city-builder set across the Medieval and Renaissance eras.
Players select procedurally formed 16km² map tiles, choose a culture that influences world and resident names, and divide the landscape into plots with different purposes. More than 100 resources support construction and resident happiness. A progression tree branches into Labor, Law, Faith, Arts, and Trade as a settlement grows from a hamlet into a town. The game focuses on governance, management, and creative construction rather than combat or survival pressure. Planned Early Access additions include residents with daily routines and personal narratives, bonuses between neighboring plots, multiple cities connected by trade routes, and further cultures, biomes, and architectural styles.
