Our take on Child Of Ault
Rather than separating tower defense from direct combat, the game makes both roles simultaneous: toys cover enemy routes while the player aims, charges special attacks, and changes position. Stage rewards expand the defensive roster instead of keeping the available toys fixed.
What is Child Of Ault?
Child Of Ault combines tower defense with direct shooting.
A boy protects a town crystal from monster waves by positioning magical toy weapons along enemy routes. Each toy has a distinct skill, while new toys become available after completing stages. A projectile-launching scepter fires magic missiles and up to three special attacks that burn, freeze, or electrocute monsters. Energy for these attacks comes from hitting enemies. The player can teleport between towers to change firing positions. Scepter controls use a bow-and-arrow motion with the Vive controllers, and headshots deal increased damage. The left Vive controller's thumb pad selects among four elemental shots.
