What is Evergate?
Evergate is a 2D puzzle-platformer about Ki, a lost soul trying to return to Earth through the Evergate.
The game has 85 stages set across memories, where Ki uses Soulflame to slow time, aim, and fire at white surfaces called the Source. The beam can also break crystals; their energy can launch Ki through hazardous areas, and hitting several crystals at once combines their effects. Players collect Essences by reaching areas in each memory, then use them to unlock artefacts and improve Ki's attributes, such as movement speed and jump height. The setting is presented through hand-drawn visuals and an orchestral score recorded by a live orchestra.
