AdventureIs Chariot worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fans of platformers who want physics-based movement instead of a combat-focused game.
- Friends who want couch co-op centered on guiding a shared coffin through cave levels.
- Solo players who want a 25-level adventure across underground environments.
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat as the main activity may hit a wall when chariot maneuvering forms the central challenge.
- Those who prefer short, compact games may find 25 levels across 5 environments more structure than they want.
- Players seeking online multiplayer rather than solo play or couch co-op.
- Players who do not use a controller may be put off by the controller recommendation.
Our take on Chariot
The likely sticking point is the chariot itself: progress depends on pushing, pulling, riding and swinging a wheeled coffin through cave sections. Players who want direct platforming with little physics-based maneuvering may hit a wall when controlling that object becomes the central task.
What is Chariot?
Chariot is a platform game for one player or two people sharing a screen.
The Princess or her Fiancé escorts the deceased King’s wheeled coffin through cave systems. Movement relies on physics, with actions such as hauling, shoving, swinging and traveling on the coffin. The campaign includes 25 stages spread across 5 subterranean settings, combining exploration, rapid rides and collectible loot. The King’s spirit provides commentary throughout the expedition. Solo and two-player cooperative modes are available, and a controller is recommended.
