Our take on Cauldron
The focus on upgrade loops and minigames gives Cauldron a broad range of progression choices, but it places less emphasis on a tightly paced, combat-centered RPG structure. Players can automate collection and battles, trading direct involvement for continued progression while away.
What is Cauldron?
Cauldron combines turn-based monster battles with resource-gathering minigames and party development.
Playing minigames provides resources for improving heroes, abilities, items, and the minigames themselves. Victories in battle reveal additional areas, characters, and activities as Nyx explores a darkness-covered world and discovers new allies. The game includes distinct skill trees for more than 20 heroes, several modes such as Idle, Pacifist, and EVIL, and an autobattler that can handle combat. An expandable collection box gathers resources automatically, while players can also organize their party and skills, repeat minigames for progression, or become heavily upgraded. Character skits, talking birds, and a pink companion add narrative elements to the exploration and battle structure.
