Play it if you…
Good fit- Solo FPS players who want a direct mission focused on reaching an extraction point
- Action players who enjoy choosing between frontal attacks, ambushes, and running gunfights
- Players who prefer repeated attempts with a clear castle-retaking objective
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want persistent progress after failure will hit a wall when death resets the attempt
- Players seeking varied objectives or a broader campaign may find the extraction-and-castle structure narrow
- Players looking for cooperative or multiplayer shooting will not find that focus here
Our take on CastleGuard
The bounce point arrives at death: each failed attempt returns the soldier to the start. Players who need persistent advancement may stop there, especially when enemy placement and the extraction objective remain the central loop.
What is CastleGuard?
CastleGuard is a first-person shooter in which a lone soldier crosses enemy-held cities, countryside, and a castle to reach an extraction point.
Enemies are placed throughout these areas, requiring weapon selection, ammunition management, observation, and route choices. Players can confront opponents directly, use surprise attacks, or run and shoot. The story centers on retaking a castle from mercenaries while advancing through their lines. Each attempt begins by picking up a weapon, followed by watching enemy positions and crossing the castle. Death sends the player back to the start.
How CastleGuard plays
- 01First-Person Combat

- 02Weapon Management

- 03Multiple Attack Styles
- Encounters can be approached with direct combat, surprise attacks, or a run-and-shoot tactic.
- 04Restart On Death
