Our take on Cartridge the Tiger
The clearest sticking point is level sharing: the game includes tools for creating levels, but its sharing servers are offline, preventing sharing by code. Players focused on making levels for others may reach that limit after building a creation.
What is Cartridge the Tiger?
Cartridge the Tiger is a retro-style platformer with a story mode of 10 levels, plus a Second Quest with 10 exploration-focused levels and 37 exits.
A Randomizer adds 10 levels whose layouts change each time. Movement includes running, jumping, swimming, flying, carrying, throwing, and rolling, along with a shake mechanic for interacting with the environment. The in-game editor offers more than 200 objects, enemies, switches, wires, logic blocks, lighting, weather, and camera controls. Players can create custom objects with the C# SDK and share mods through Steam Workshop. The game supports controllers and cloud saves. Level-sharing servers are offline, so sharing levels by code is unavailable.
