Our take on Cargo Commander
Generated sectors and shared high-score contests trade a fixed level sequence for name-based replay variation. The game also centers progression on cargo collection, combat, equipment upgrades, and leaderboards rather than a single authored route through space.
What is Cargo Commander?
Play as a Cargo Corps recruit alone in space and far from family, traveling through wormhole-filled sectors to salvage cargo from containers occupied by alien mutants.
Use a Fistcannon, platform drill, and explosives while moving between the ship and containers. Environments can be destroyed to create paths, and weapons and tools can be upgraded. Sectors are generated from chosen names and can be shared for high-score competitions. Each sector has an online leaderboard, while defeated players can leave loot behind. The game includes Career and Journey modes, over 80 cargo types, and promotion contests with other Cargo Commanders.
