Our take on Card of spirits
Rather than building toward a final score through unconstrained card play, the game requires a response at least as high as the opponent's total on every turn. A tie clears both fields and returns one card to each hand, while a missed threshold ends the game immediately.
What is Card of spirits?
Card of spirits is a two-player card game with 12 cards: eight numbered cards, from 1 to 8, and four special cards marked J, Q, K, and Z.
On each turn, a player must play a card that brings their total on the field to at least the opponent’s total. If the totals tie, both players clear their field cards and draw one card each. Falling below the opponent’s total on a turn means losing immediately, even with cards still in hand. Play ends when both players have no cards left; the player with the higher value wins. The special cards can reverse the situation.
