Our take on Captain Goose
The defining detail is ship defense: players operate the cannons while repairing damage, managing crew problems, and choosing ammunition during the voyage.
What is Captain Goose?
Captain Goose is an action game about shipwreck survivors crossing dangerous seas to break a curse.
Players control the guns of a warship while creatures and other enemies attack its hull. Damage must be repaired, and the ship’s defenses and combat abilities can be improved during the journey. Problems can affect both vessel and crew: wet gunpowder reduces cannon performance, seasickness affects sailors, and drinking can impair a gunner’s aim. Gold collected during the voyage is spent on preparations, while ports offer ammunition with different properties, including poisonous, incendiary, and fragmentation shells. The crew also meets various characters while traveling toward the edge of the world and confronting the Abyss.
