Our take on Calcium Contract
The campaign’s route and target are clear, but its emphasis on fast movement and a grand finale gives little detail about how the more than 20 levels vary. Eternal Harvest gets specific mechanics, including curses and one-try daily challenges.
What is Calcium Contract?
Calcium Contract is a first-person shooter about a hired agent sent to stop a serpentine creature on an island.
Fight through over 20 levels as the route climbs a mountain toward the target’s lair, using weapons from the Calcium Order and learning how enemies behave. Some enemies can influence others, changing the fight. Rewind to an earlier point in a level or return to a few seconds before death. The separate Eternal Harvest mode uses procedural levels that rebuild during play. Curses can raise the score while adding quirky difficulties. The mode also includes leaderboards and daily challenges, with one attempt per challenge.
How Calcium Contract plays
- 01Time Rewind
- Return to an earlier level point or jump back to just before a death.
- 02Changing Arenas
- Eternal Harvest levels are procedurally generated and reshape during a run.
- 03Daily Challenges
- Each daily challenge allows a single attempt.
- 04Score Curses
- Optional curses increase the score while adding varied complications.
