Our take on Burgerwise the Clown
Rather than centering on heroic exploration, the game casts a murderous clown as the protagonist and turns roommate deaths, stolen burgers, and body consumption into progression. Its grim premise is presented through crude dark comedy instead of conventional fantasy adventure.
What is Burgerwise the Clown?
Burgerwise the Clown is a side-scrolling mini metroidvania about a clown returning home to find his roommates dead, monsters roaming the building, and his burgers stolen.
He sets out to destroy the creatures, investigate the break-in, and kill his remaining clown friends while taking their possessions. The game includes five bosses and four upgrades: a double jump, a dash, the ability to breathe underwater, and a revolver. Dead clowns can be found, attacked, and eaten to increase Burgerwise’s health. Its story combines horror, violent combat, dark comedy, and a search for the person responsible for the intrusion.
