Our take on Buildest
The presentation foregrounds a simple construction loop, but the broader structure includes resource gathering, recipe progression, era-specific mechanics, and flexible level assessment. That makes the experience more involved than the brief build-order description initially suggests.
What is Buildest?
Buildest is a cooperative construction game about managing workers and creating buildings in different architectural styles.
Players examine plans, explore levels, gather resources, craft required materials, and direct workers to construct each design. The game includes seven architectural eras, including Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Rome, Ancient Asia, the European Middle Ages, European Baroque, European Art Nouveau, and American Art Deco. New crafting recipes add building elements and allow combinations across styles. Progression uses a flexible assessment system, while each era introduces additional mechanics. Creations can be shared through the Steam Workshop. Solo play is supported, as is cooperative play for up to four players.
