Our take on Bug Heroes: Tower Defense
Instead of keeping the player outside the battlefield, the game makes hero control part of the defense loop. Switching between third-person combat and overhead tower management replaces the fixed viewpoint common to many tower-defense games.
What is Bug Heroes: Tower Defense?
Defend a food supply from enemy waves in a single-player campaign set across a neighborhood of houses.
Control 10 bug heroes, including an assassin, engineer, and demolitions expert, each with distinct abilities, weapons, and play styles. Scavenge food and junk, construct turrets, unlock dozens of tower types, and improve heroes and towers through levels, equipment, and upgrades. Gameplay combines direct third-person hero control with an overhead view for a more traditional tower-defense perspective. Enemy variety appears throughout the campaign. A level editor called the Playground allows custom battles to be created and shared with other players. The game also includes stylized 3D graphics and Steam Deck support.
