Our take on Abatron
Abatron departs from the usual split between strategy command and action combat by letting players change roles during the same battle. Army management remains available from above, but any unit can become a directly controlled Hero in first- or third-person play.
What is Abatron?
Abatron combines base building, troop production, and direct shooter combat in a multiplayer action-strategy game.
Commander mode presents a top-down view for managing large battles, while control can shift to individual units in first- or third-person perspective during play. Players can change between unit types in real time, develop Heroes with specialized attacks, and use alien creatures on the map against enemy fortifications. Combat grants experience: Heroes can reach level 10, while buildings gain levels as they produce units. Solo, co-op, and PvP modes support up to 6 players or bots, including Free For All and co-op against AI. Dedicated servers support multiplayer matches.

Abatron compared to similar games
Abatron combines base and troop management with direct first- or third-person control of battlefield units. Anomaly: Warzone Earth also mixes action and strategy, but its description centers on a reversed tower-defense structure and defending cities from alien attacks.
