Our take on Breakneck
The bounce point arrives when a run becomes a test of repeated route refinement rather than story progression. Players who do not enjoy chasing distance, comparing ghost runs, and adapting to daily terrain changes may stop there.
What is Breakneck?
Breakneck is a high-speed action runner set in a world occupied by alien invaders.
Players pilot a speeder through unfamiliar terrain, avoid obstacles, evade pursuers, and collect supplies while trying to extend each run. Routes can be repeated and refined, with daily environmental changes introducing different paths and challenges. Daily and weekly missions, tournaments, leaderboards, and ghost ships from previous runs add score-chasing goals. Ship upgrades support progression, while virtual reality mode works with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The game also includes Steam Cloud, achievements, trading cards, and Big Picture Mode. An original soundtrack accompanies the post-invasion setting.
