Our take on Bragger's Run
The run-based structure gives up a fixed route and predictable progression in exchange for changing attempts. Limited storage adds another restriction: only selected items can be carried forward, so useful finds may need to be left behind.
What is Bragger's Run?
Bragger's Run is a procedurally generated action rogue-lite about repeated attempts across a hostile continent.
Players choose the Gunslinger, Duelist, or Wizard, defeat hundreds of enemies and four main bosses, and collect experience, treasures, items, and gems. Each class uses different combat tools, including firearms and grenades, dual-wielded weapons, or mobility and crowd-control spells. More than 100 items can shape a run, while limited storage allows selected items to carry into later attempts. Runes bought with in-game currency provide character enhancements. Completed runs can continue through loops with stronger enemies and new item tiers. Steam leaderboards record completion times for each character, including a combined Triple Crown ranking. A hidden boss and periodic challenges provide additional objectives.
How Bragger's Run plays
- 01Three playable classes

- 03Item-based builds
- More than 100 items and treasures can alter abilities and play styles during a run.
- 04Limited item storage
- Items that do not suit the current class can be carried into a later run, but storage space restricts the selection.
- 05Higher-difficulty loops
- After completing the game, players can restart from level one against stronger enemies and find a new item tier.
- 06Time leaderboards
- Completion times are displayed for each character, with a combined ranking for finishing with all three classes.
Bragger's Run compared to similar games
Bragger's Run uses repeated runs, three character classes, randomized item finds, and time rankings. Abyssus also uses a roguelite structure, but its description emphasizes multiplayer shooting, hand-crafted levels, and weapon modification with ancient technologies. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is presented as a chaotic metroidvania, while Bragger's Run focuses on procedural attempts, class-based combat, and item storage between runs.
