Our take on Boomerang X
The store copy puts unusual weight on speed, aerial movement, and stylish combat, while offering little detail about the campaign's length or how its arenas vary.
What is Boomerang X?
Boomerang X is an arena shooter set on an abandoned island, where a mystical boomerang serves as both a weapon and a way to move.
Throw it, then slingshot to its position while keeping the momentum to cross the arena. Time can be slowed to set up throws that reach enemies from different angles. Combat pits the player against creatures that crawl from gaps, dive from above and attack from multiple directions. Stylish moves grant unusual powers, adding another element to fights. The campaign moves through the remains of a ruined civilization to confront a threat beneath its halls. The free demo covers the first third of the game, and progress can carry over to the full game.
How Boomerang X plays
