Our take on Boaty Tanks
The focus on pool arenas and boat combat keeps the play structure narrow: movement, projectile avoidance, and cannon fire take priority over broader exploration or varied combat roles. The 3-life limit also makes each hit consequential.
What is Boaty Tanks?
Play as a toy boat defending its pool from an invasion of armed toy fish.
Each level takes place in a different pool, with its own obstacles and decorations. After spotting the boat, enemies move toward it and fire relatively slow bullets. The boat can evade attacks by maneuvering around them or diving beneath them, then respond with front or side cannons. A large toy starfish appears at the end of each level, with more energy and larger bullets than the other enemies. The boat has 3 lives, and the game ends when they are lost. Combat centers on movement, aiming, and surviving encounters in the pool arenas.
