Our take on Aery - Cyber City
The presentation centers on flying through beautiful environments, but progression depends on finding a required number of memory shards in each area. Exploration is therefore tied to collection-based unlocking rather than being entirely open-ended.
What is Aery - Cyber City?
Aery - Cyber City follows a small bird searching for a new home after losing a close friend.
The game begins in a fast-moving futuristic city, where the bird flies continuously forward between skyscrapers, flying cars, and trains. Exploration covers areas with different color themes, settings, and moods. Memory shards are hidden throughout these environments and reveal information about the levels, story, and the bird’s memories.
Collecting a required number of shards opens the route to the next area. Short story passages appear at the start of each area, describing the bird’s current thoughts. There are no enemies or hazards that can harm the bird, and the game presents itself as an abstract flight experience focused on free movement and discovering hidden details.
