Our take on Block'hood VR
Instead of treating city building as straightforward expansion, the game makes each neighborhood a network of dependencies. Blocks require inputs from other blocks, and shortages can lead to decay, so maintaining the system becomes as important as arranging it.
What is Block'hood VR?
Block'hood VR is a neighborhood-building simulator set in virtual reality.
Players arrange and combine more than 200 building blocks to create neighborhoods and examine the effects of their designs. Each block has inputs and outputs, so blocks depend on one another within a resource network. A unit that lacks needed inputs can decay, become abandoned, or be destroyed. Players must remove affected blocks to prevent further decay among connected units. Resources can open additional blocks, configurations, and combinations. The game includes Story Mode, Sandbox Mode, and Challenge Mode. Its structure focuses on neighborhood design, resource generation, ecological relationships, and the consequences of arranging blocks without maintaining the supplies required by surrounding units.
