Play it if you…
Good fit- WWII strategy fans who want real-time command across Allied, German, and Soviet campaigns
- Players who prefer branching mission choices over fixed difficulty and level progressions

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a short, tightly scripted campaign may find the flexible missions and editing tools too open-ended
- Those who prefer turn-based planning may not suit a game built around real-time battles and immediate battlefield decisions
- Players looking for fantasy, science-fiction, or non-military settings will find a game focused on historical WWII warfare
Our take on Blitzkrieg Anthology
The emphasis on flexible campaigns and extensive editors trades away a tightly controlled progression. Players must choose how to approach engagements and can modify much of the game world, leaving less of a fixed, curated path through the battles.
What is Blitzkrieg Anthology?
Blitzkrieg is a real-time strategy game set across three WWII campaigns for the Allies, Germans, and Soviets.
Players direct forces through major engagements and can choose immediate battles or side missions, including randomly generated missions, to gain experience, promotions, and equipment upgrades. Units reflect historical capabilities, with terrain, weather, seasons, and climate affecting battles. Operations include building bridges, digging trenches and pits, laying mines, resupplying and repairing units, and requesting air support. The game includes a Mission Editor for creating missions, chapters, and campaigns, plus a Resource Editor for changing units, characteristics, colors, textures, sounds, and other game elements.
