Our take on Bladeline VR
The focus on fast sword combat and score chasing leaves little room for slower exploration or broader adventure systems. Motion-controller play also requires clear surrounding space, so the physical setup is a constraint on where it can be played.
What is Bladeline VR?
Bladeline VR is a VR sword-fighting game.
Players use both hands to swing a sword along blade lines, defeat humanoid enemies, and maintain kill combos. Assassins can defeat a player with a single strike, while projectiles may cause damage or restore health. Players can purchase and customize skills according to their strategy, and change skills at the end of each phase. A sword shop offers additional sword designs. Music, sound, and visual effects accompany the fights. Steam Leaderboards let players compete for scores. Before starting, players are advised to clear the surrounding area of furniture and other objects and to fully charge the motion controllers.
