Our take on Blade of the Netherworld
The game gives up a fixed progression path in favor of run-based variety: equipment combinations change between journeys, while town activities add interruptions to the combat loop.
What is Blade of the Netherworld?
Enter a volatile afterlife in a rapid 2D roguelite platform game.
As a Yin-Yang Enforcer, equip Divine Masks and combine collected gear with combat abilities while confronting gods, demons, spirits, and Asura. Runs draw from a selection of over 12 masks, more than 5 primary weapons, and above 80 supporting weapons and enhancements. Between expeditions, activities include angling, cultivating vegetables, preparing food, rescuing villagers and other non-player characters, and managing an ideal settlement. Each descent uncovers more about the catastrophe, leads isolated souls toward rebirth, and grows more perilous as combat skills develop and sacrifices grant greater strength.
