What is Roid Chimp?
Roid Chimp is a hand-drawn 2D platformer with metroidvania exploration and fast movement.
Players run, climb, dodge, slide, jump, and punch through enemies and traps, including climbing vertical surfaces and enemies. Double, triple, and quadruple jumps become available as jump stamina increases. Exploration reveals secrets, additional bosses, and upgrades. Books improve regular statistics and elemental abilities, while coins collected from defeated enemies can raise punch strength, heat, and shielding. Elemental punch effects include freezing, burning, poisoning, and electrocution, with upgrades that can be combined. The game uses side-scrolling action and frame-by-frame 2D animation for its enemies and bosses.
