The story follows observations of twelve main characters’ memories and ongoing conversations with a mysterious girl. Players choose between the White Church, associated with order, fairness, and reason, and the Black Cinder Crow, linked to freedom, culture, and sensibility. The game contains more than 250,000 words, nearly 100 characters, and over 400 CGs or story maps. Each of the twelve main characters has a branch storyline, with additional story maps presented in a comic-like format. This edition removes the battle-chess sections and rearranges the plot into a visual-novel structure. Animated artwork, music, sound effects, and voice performances accompany the story.
