Our take on Bishoujo Battle Hanafuda Koi-Koi
Instead of making its military-themed characters fight through a strategy game, this title places them in Koi-Koi matches. The central tension comes from choosing whether to stop after scoring or continue the round, risking the opponent forming a scoring set first.
What is Bishoujo Battle Hanafuda Koi-Koi?
Bishoujo Battle Hanafuda Koi-Koi adapts the Japanese flower-card game Koi-Koi for single-player and multiplayer play.
A tutorial introduces the rules for new players. On each turn, a player places a card from hand and collects matching cards. Sets called Yaku score points. After forming a Yaku, a player can stop the round or call “koi koi” to continue, risking the opponent forming a Yaku first and taking the points. Single-player play features battles across Japan against girls from the Rick G Earth universe, along with character cards and achievements to collect. Multiplayer lets players compete against Koi-Koi players around the world. The cards feature floral and animal imagery drawn from Japanese folklore.
