The character and dressing-room material takes up substantial space, but the central play remains a batting-style block breaker. Its two added modes still revolve around clearing blocks, with one using character stages and the other an endless score run.
What is Pretty Girls Breakout! PLUS?
This batting-style block breaker has players time their swings to send a ball back toward blocks.
Some stages also include enemies that fire projectiles; returning attacks, clearing blocks, and defeating enemies contribute to the score. Pretty Battle offers 5 stages for each of 7 characters, with difficulty rising by stage and points awarded for clears. Points can be exchanged for costumes. Eternal Challenge is an endless mode: the score rises with block breaks and consecutive hits, and falls when the ball drops or the player takes damage.
The run ends when a block reaches the ship. The game includes 10 characters, Japanese voice acting, and a dressing room. Its diorama mode lets players arrange several characters, adjust their expressions and costumes, and add 10 types of stamps.
