Our take on BattleLore: Command
Its focus on planned deployments and individual unit orders trades away the immediacy of action games. The campaign also centers on leading the Daqan army, while faction choice is broader in multiplayer than in the single-player structure.
What is BattleLore: Command?
BattleLore: Command adapts Fantasy Flight Games’ BattleLore Second Edition board game into a strategy game about conflict between the Daqan and Uthuk Y’llan armies.
Players assemble forces for each mission, position units, and issue orders individually. Each faction can use lore abilities that provide distinct tactical and magical effects during combat. A single-player campaign follows the Daqan army through multiple missions against the Uthuk Y’llan. Multiplayer includes several battlefields and modes, with either faction available for matches against another player or the computer. The game also offers an optional Locust expansion containing additional units and battlefields.
