Our take on BANNERMEN
The store framing presents a classic RTS with a high skill ceiling, but the available structure is limited to a single-player campaign and AI skirmishes. Multiplayer is explicitly unavailable, narrowing the game’s scope for players seeking online competition.
What is BANNERMEN?
BANNERMEN is a single-player real-time strategy game set in the medieval realm of Valtoria.
The campaign follows Lord Berrian after a major defeat as he gathers supplies, recruits soldiers, frees prisoners, infiltrates strongholds, and fights Lord Karthor. Gameplay combines direct control of individual units with scouting, territory management, resource collection, base construction, and advancement toward stronger troops. Wood and gold support the economy, while 15 recruitable units become available when the base meets specific requirements. Maps offer tactical opportunities involving sandstorms, traps, explosive barrels, and Temple powers that differ by map and location. AI Skirmish matches include three selectable heroes who gain levels by defeating enemy units and neutral creatures. Multiplayer is not available.
