Play it if you…
Good fit- Survival-game players who want dinosaur taming alongside resource gathering and crafting

- Multiplayer groups seeking cooperative encounters with large hostile creatures
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the resource gathering and survival loop more central than the mystery
- Players who want consistently low-threat exploration may not suit a game built around hostile dinosaurs and a dangerous environment
- Players looking for a pure battle royale or competitive arena game
- Players seeking a historical 1814 setting without prehistoric creatures
Our take on Athos
The premise gives equal weight to amnesia, ancient mysteries, and dinosaur survival, but the described play loop centers on gathering, building, crafting, taming, and combat. The narrative setup is clear, while the extent of its story content is less defined.
What is Athos?
Athos is a survival adventure set in 1814 on an island where dinosaurs evolved alongside humanity.
After a shipwreck leaves the character without memories, play begins in a dangerous prehistoric environment with primitive tools. Players collect wood, stone, and food, construct shelters, make weapons, and face dinosaurs that range from tameable mounts to hostile predators. Cooperation can assist with larger threats, while solo play supports individual survival. Blueprints and rare materials provide access to improved weapons, armor, and tools. Character progression adds abilities and skills for combat and survival. Exploration also connects the island’s hazards with questions about the crash, the character’s past, and an ancient force beneath Athos.
