Is Astronite worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Metroidvania fans who want exploration across zones containing hidden secrets
- Action-platforming players who enjoy puzzles, enemies, and boss fights in the same game
- Players seeking a 1-bit adventure with map-based power-up discovery
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly linear adventure may find the large map and hidden areas too exploration-focused
- Players who prefer combat without puzzles or platforming may not suit the combined gameplay structure
- Players looking for a game outside the metroidvania format may not want ability-based exploration across multiple zones
Our take on Astronite
Instead of limiting progression to a straightforward stage sequence, the game places exploration, hidden secrets, map-based power-ups, and Echo Door challenges at the center of its metroidvania structure. Its 1-bit presentation also departs from the detailed visual style often associated with the genre.
What is Astronite?
Astronite is a 1-bit metroidvania combining action, exploration, puzzles, and platforming.
