Our take on Architecture Zeitgeist: Architecture in your time
Its defining structure links architectural exploration with collectible research notes: Story Mode uses them to advance through an architect’s projects, while Free Mode removes that progression.
What is Architecture Zeitgeist: Architecture in your time?
Architecture Zeitgeist is an educational game built around real-time 3D tours of architectural works.
Story Mode follows an architect’s biography through selected projects. Players walk through each location and search for notes about the building and its architect; collecting all notes allows progression to the architect’s next project. Free Mode offers open exploration of the available locations. Current Story Mode projects are Barcelona Pavilion, Azuma House, Villa Savoye, and Canoas House. Free Mode also includes Fallingwater, which is still in beta. The project is independent and non-profit, and forms part of its creator’s master’s research at the University of Brasília.
