What is Aquila Bird Flight Simulator?
Aquila Bird Flight Simulator lets players control a bald, golden, or harpy eagle in a soaring-flight simulation.
The available regions are Northwest Scotland, Colombia, and British Columbia, each with a 14 km by 14 km flyable area. Flight uses thermals and ridge lift rather than arcade-style controls. Players can start airborne, on the ground, or in a randomly selected tree; they can also take off, land, and walk. Hard crashes return the bird to a tree.
VR play supports motion controllers and headset-based looking, while gamepad, keyboard, and non-VR controls are also available. Other elements include a day-and-night cycle, adjustable wind, animated AI birds, narrated tutorials, and music. In some lakes and rivers, players can catch fish and carry them while holding the controls.
