Our take on Apartment Story
The store presentation gives equal weight to thriller drama and a wide list of everyday actions, but the experience is explicitly limited to approximately 90–120 minutes. The needs system and apartment activities therefore sit within a brief, feature-length narrative rather than an extended life simulation.
What is Apartment Story?
Apartment Story is a single-player, third-person thriller following Arthur, a young man whose routine changes when his former roommate Diane arrives and another visitor, Blondey, enters the situation.
The story unfolds in one apartment as relationships shift and a gun becomes part of the escalating drama. Players manage Arthur’s welfare through activities such as eating, sleeping, washing, smoking, writing, watching television, changing clothes, taking drugs, doing dishes, drinking beer, listening to music, and answering the door. Small objects can be moved around the apartment, while day-and-night cycles progress in real time. The game is presented as a feature-length experience lasting approximately 90–120 minutes.
