Rather than treating art as scenery, Antipaint makes it both the opposition and the material for combat. Defeated levels become paintings to keep, giving the shooter’s fights a collection outcome as well as a victory condition.
What is Antipaint?
Antipaint is a roguelite shooter about becoming the world’s greatest artist by fighting famous works of art.
The battlefield doubles as a canvas, with enemies serving as paint. Players choose characters and brushes, including a slower, thicker brush and a quicker roller. Completing a painting rewards items that can add effects such as a helpful bucket, paint turrets, moustaches for enemies, or a robot transformation. The aim is to defeat a series of artworks and claim the title of greatest artist. Paintings made during play can be kept and viewed in a gallery after the fighting ends.
