Our take on Anopek
The page gives equal weight to prophecy, relics, and genre blending, but the clearest recurring structure is combat-led exploration: weapon abilities open temple areas, with puzzles and bosses filling the route.
What is Anopek?
Anopek combines first-person shooting with metroidvania exploration across a large temple on a dying planet.
Players investigate ancient tombs, flying temples, and other areas, solve puzzles, fight monsters, and challenge bosses. Weapons with distinct abilities support exploration by opening access to new parts of the temple, while ancient relics connect to the game’s progression and lore. The game includes an exploration-focused soundtrack, keyboard-only play, key rebinding, and support for modern controllers.
After completing the game, players can attempt the Gauntlet of the Gods as an additional challenge. Mirror Mode is also available as a replayability option, providing a different perspective during play. The story involves lost soul fragments, a pantheon of gods, and an ancient prophecy that can be accepted or rejected.
