Rather than presenting a straightforward heroic quest, the adventure divides its crisis among Assil, the pharaoh, and Osiris. Its version of old Cairo mixes stolen artifacts, forced quarry labor, relationship trouble, and black humor, replacing a conventional serious tone with a bizarre ensemble story.
What is Ankh 2: Heart of Osiris ?
Assil begins another difficult journey after surviving a death curse, losing his relationship with Thara, and having the Ankh taken by assassins.
He sets out to recover what was lost while the pharaoh faces a separate crisis: after being taken from his throne, he is forced to work as a slave in his own quarry. The story follows both victims as their predicaments unfold in old Cairo. Osiris also seeks the missing heart that would complete him and reveal his abilities to humanity. The adventure returns familiar characters, introduces new surprises, and uses a bizarre setting with the black humor associated with the first Ankh game.
