Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who prefer stable environments may dislike the changing world and recurring paranormal events.
- Those seeking a single definitive conclusion may not fit a story with four endings.
- Players without virtual reality equipment are not the intended audience.
- Players looking for a non-horror adventure may not suit its haunted setting and scare-focused design.
Our take on ALONE? - VR
Rather than using teleportation, a common VR movement convention, the game uses touch-pad locomotion. Its world also changes during play, while four endings replace the single-conclusion structure found in many short horror adventures.
What is ALONE? - VR?
Search for Michelle after receiving a letter that calls the player back to the home of her childhood.
The investigation passes through a frightening residence, subterranean passages, natural caverns, and a neglected mortuary as supernatural incidents reshape the environment and alter the course of events. Approximately 80% of the objects can be handled, while locomotion relies on a touch-pad instead of teleport movement. Ambient audio, sudden scares, and psychological horror create an unsettling atmosphere. The narrative offers four possible conclusions, giving reason to examine each area and its secrets. The opening takes place inside Michelle’s home amid intense rainfall, thunder, and darkness. This virtual reality title includes a warning that people with weak hearts could be affected.
