Our take on Alone in the Stars: Survivor
The emphasis on stacking upgrades and build combinations ties variety to repeated randomized runs, giving up the fixed encounter order and stable progression path of a more linear shooter.
What is Alone in the Stars: Survivor?
Alone in the Stars: Survivor is a third-person roguelite shooter about destroying alien hordes and bosses.
Runs combine weapons, base stats, abilities, upgrade paths, and power-ups whose effects can stack and scale indefinitely. The arsenal includes 9 guns and 1 sword, while utility and damage abilities add effects such as elemental attacks, explosions, and triggers activated by shooting or hitting enemies. Players can choose the power-up pool for a run and change the alien’s body type, colors, and other visual elements. Progression unlocks additional power-ups, passive abilities, weapons, levels, and cosmetics. The game includes 5 planets, distinct enemies for each planet, changing planet layouts, 4 elite variants for every enemy, random weapons, and more than 100 power-ups.
