Our take on All is Fair in Dust and Air
The novel-first design trades away mechanical progression: there is no stat farming or relationship micromanagement. Its story is also divided across a Cathedral introduction and separate heroine arcs, rather than presenting every planned arc in one release.
What is All is Fair in Dust and Air?
All is Fair in Dust and Air is a branching visual novel set in the Guns of Icarus universe.
It follows William Aven as he begins life on his own and travels across six nations, including Anglea and the Arashi desert. The story includes air pirates, ancient treasures, romance, and the darker side of the setting. Choices shape outcomes, with multiple endings and some storylines crossing over. The opening Cathedral story introduces a major independent city and trade hub and features five of the six main heroines.
That opening contains over 50,000 words. The wider project is planned around separate heroine arcs, each averaging close to 100,000 words, linked to the Cathedral story. It does not use stat farming or relationship micromanagement.
