Our take on Scales of Justice
The store page foregrounds the kingdom, character variety, and large word count, while the format can be overlooked: this is entirely text-based, with no graphics or sound effects. Its planned-series status also places the story within a larger arc rather than presenting a final installment.
What is Scales of Justice?
Travel through Therania in a 600,000-word interactive fantasy novel built around hundreds of choices.
Play as male, female, or nonbinary, and select a human, half-elf, or half-satyr protagonist with a chosen sexual orientation. Four major characters—a runaway heir, rogue knight, lost alien, and foreign leader—can become allies, romances, friends, or casualties of the story. Respond to trouble by fighting, conjuring, healing, planning, persuading, or running. The narrative follows rumours about a dangerous artefact, a letter from the protagonist’s mother, and questions about fate, identity, and legacy. The game is entirely text-based, with no graphics or sound effects. It is the first volume in a planned series.

Scales of Justice compared to similar games
Scales of Justice is a text-based interactive novel centered on branching choices, identity, and relationships, whereas Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition is an RPG focused on exploring a strange and dangerous city, characters, and a soundtrack.
