Our take on Alien Dawn
The store presentation foregrounds a broad open-world survival game, but the current purchase provides a Playtest Alpha vertical slice: one Escape Mode mission with procedural variation. Additional missions are described as future additions, so the present scope is considerably narrower than the overall premise.
What is Alien Dawn?
Alien Dawn is a PCVR action survival game set in an interactive open world where objects can be handled, climbed, or destroyed.
Players explore, fight, scavenge, and survive alone or in co-op with desktop cross-play. The current Playtest Alpha presents one complete Escape Mode mission as a vertical slice of the planned game. Points of Interest are placed procedurally for variation between runs. VR interactions include physical gripping, manual weapon reloading, armor plate insertion, revive injectors, full-body IK, adjustable seated and standing modes, haptic feedback, and physical interaction sounds. Multiplayer supports 4 or more players across VR and flatscreen desktop play. Additional missions are planned for later development.
