Our take on Spectro
The focus on room-scale VR and physical hand interaction limits compatibility and play style. That trade-off keeps the experience centered on embodied movement, but excludes players using newer headsets or setups that do not support this form of play.
What is Spectro?
Spectro is a VR-only roguelike set in a haunted tower that changes from run to run.
Players climb through the tower, capture ghosts, avoid magical attacks, open chests, and search for concealed totems and other items. Its interaction model centers on tracked hands, room-scale movement, and dodging within physical space. The game was tested with Vive, Rift, and Quest 2 through Link, while newer headsets are listed as untested and unsupported.
How Spectro plays

- 03Room-Scale Movement
- Gameplay uses physical movement and dodging within a room-scale VR setup.
- 04Hidden Item Hunting
- Exploration includes locating concealed totems and collecting items from chests.
