Our take on AK-xolotl: Together
Instead of treating defeat as a reset, the game turns an axolotl's regeneration into part of its progression loop. Raising rescued babies into future fighters also replaces the usual lone-hero structure with a growing roster of animal companions.
What is AK-xolotl: Together?
AK-xolotl: Together is a top-down roguelite shooter in which axolotls use guns, power-ups, and specialized baby axolotls to fight through the animal kingdom.
Runs move through randomly generated rooms across multiple biomes, with enemies and bosses to defeat. Captured baby axolotls can be brought back to the pond, raised, and used as future fighters with distinct abilities. Food and cooking provide permanent stat improvements, while regeneration lets a defeated axolotl return with new weapons unlocked through combat. The game supports online and local co-op, where two players fight together, share power-ups, and progress through levels. Its 2. 0 update adds 20+ weapons, items, biomes, bosses, enemies, weapon modifications, and changes to cooking and Axolittles.
